Camp President

Lori Wymore

Camp Secretary

Larry and Lori's Story:

Larry and Lori have been joyfully married for over 40 years, and their family continues to be one of their greatest blessings. They are proud parents of three sons, three wonderful daughters‑in‑law, six energetic grandsons, two sweet granddaughters, and a cherished bonus God‑granddaughter who has become part of their hearts.

In 1996, Larry and Lori followed God’s leading and founded Dayspring Campground Ministries. Their very first camp welcomed just 60 children, but their vision was rooted in something much deeper. Coming from underprivileged backgrounds themselves, they carried a burden for at‑risk children to experience the love, hope, and joy found in Christ through a camp setting. They opened the doors wide, offering camp completely free so every child could have the chance to come.

Today, Dayspring hosts around 350 campers each June, and the impact continues to grow. This past year, they celebrated as several campers accepted Christ for the first time and others boldly answered the call to ministry. Larry and Lori’s hearts remain steady and full—to see lives transformed and hope renewed through Jesus Christ.

Jeremy and Lauren's Story:

Jeremy Pauling first came to Dayspring in the summer of 2012, and camp quickly became a place that shaped his heart and his walk with Christ. As the son of longtime volunteers Mike and Vicky Owens, Jeremy grew up around the campground—learning to serve, work hard, and grow alongside his brothers and sisters in Christ whenever he had the chance to be here.

Lauren joined Dayspring a couple of years later while serving on a drama team from North Carolina. Camp is where their paths crossed, where friendship blossomed into love, and where their journey together truly began. Now married with two wonderful children, Jeremy and Lauren joyfully call Dayspring home.

They find deep joy in serving others and love seeing lives changed as people encounter Christ at camp. Their hearts are full when they witness those moments of renewal, hope, and connection that make Dayspring so special.

Jeremy and Lacy's Story:

Jeremy Felkner has been part of Dayspring for as long as he can remember. As the God‑son of Larry and Lori, he grew up visiting the campground every chance he got—learning to work, serve, and grow alongside his brothers in Christ. Camp has always felt like home to him.

Jeremy and Lacy are high‑school sweethearts who married in 2013, and their love for adventure and travel has woven beautifully into their years of serving at Dayspring. They have been involved in camp ministry on and off through different seasons of life, and from 2016 to the present, they have faithfully invested their time, energy, and hearts into the work God is doing here.

They are proud parents of their daughter, Lainey, who joyfully serves right alongside them. She especially loves greeting incoming guests and welcoming them with her bright smile. Together, the Felkner family brings warmth, enthusiasm, and a deep love for Christ to the campground, helping make Dayspring a place where people feel seen, loved, and at home.

Joel and Ashley Wymore have been joyfully married since 2014, and Dayspring has been part of Joel’s life from the very beginning. As the son of Larry and Lori, Joel grew up surrounded by camp life, ministry, and the heart behind Dayspring’s mission. Over the years, he and Ashley have stepped into leadership by directing several camps with steady hearts, creativity, and a deep love for serving students.

They are now proud parents of two energetic sons and a sweet daughter who bring so much joy to their lives. When they’re not serving at camp, Joel and Ashley love cheering on their favorite sports teams, spending time with family, and finding new adventures together. Their enthusiasm, kindness, and commitment make them a treasured part of the Dayspring family.
